Fire in Sorso and Sennori, evacuated houses and children removed from the summer camp

Fear around 12 today in the countryside of Sorso where a fire broke out, reaching Sennori , which prompted the local police to evacuate three homes and the children of the summer camp in the “Basilio Canu” sports facility as a precaution.

The flames, fueled by strong gusts of wind, rose up the hill reaching Badde Abes - Zaccos.

On site the fire brigade, the barracelli of Sorso and Sennori and the Forestry Corps.

Two forestry and Superpuma helicopters also operated.

The fire destroyed about ten hectares, mainly of Mediterranean scrub.
