Four vehicles, a fire engine, two tank trucks and an off-road vehicle equipped with a forest fire-fighting module were engaged for several hours in Flumini ( Quartu ) for a devastating fire that involved household goods, waste, parked vehicles and the surrounding vegetation. After several hours of hard work, the Cagliari Fire Brigade managed to tame the fire, the largest this year in the area and which, in addition to household goods and waste, involved a truck, a structure used as a shelter for tools, tires and various materials.
Among the flames some LPG cylinders were located, cooled and made safe.
The Fire Brigade prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent areas and involving some scattered houses in the area.
At the end of the operations to extinguish and make the area safe, the Fire Brigade began investigations to establish the causes of the fire.
The surgery lasted for over six hours.
No person is involved.
