A sudden skid, the car quickly splashes onto the asphalt, turns around and ends up against the guardrail. A very violent impact that left no escape for a 41-year-old originally from Morgongiori. Giulia Erdas lost her life last night on State Road 131 at the junction for Mogoro and it is the umpteenth cross on Carlo Felice.

The impact

The accident happened yesterday shortly after 9pm. According to an initial reconstruction it seems that the woman was traveling in a car that did not belong to her. A Ford CMax that he had found parked in Morgongiori with the keys in the ignition; at that point he would have decided to take her and go for a ride which would have ended tragically shortly afterwards. The 41-year-old aboard the Ford headed towards the 131 but at the entrance to Mogoro, near the cellar, in the direction of Cagliari something went wrong. Giulia Erdas lost control of the car which skidded and skidded several times until it crashed into the concrete traffic island.

The alarm

Some passing motorists saw the terrible scene and immediately alerted the emergency services. The 118 health workers arrived on the 131 but were unable to do anything: for Giulia Erdas there was nothing left to do. The fire brigade teams from the Ales detachment also arrived on site and made the area safe, as did the Sanluri traffic police who carried out investigations and reconstructed the dynamics of the devastating crash.

History

According to initial findings, the woman took the parked car in the early afternoon. Then it would have started to turn until arriving on State Road 131. Several aspects still need to be clarified, from some testimonies it emerged that Giulia Erdas was going through a particularly delicate period and it cannot be ruled out that all of yesterday's events, up to the fatal impact , may be attributable to the moment of difficulty. The woman's father also arrived at the scene of the accident last night, together with other relatives.

Traffic, regulated by the traffic police, slowed down somewhat in the direction of Cagliari but was not blocked.
