A loss that does not only concern the "Sironi" Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari, of which he was appointed director for the second time. Antonio Bisaccia , who died at the age of 58 ,   he was in fact also the president of the National Conference of Directors of Italian academies . Not only that, last year he was appointed president of the National Council for Higher Artistic and Musical Education (CNAM), a consultative body of the Ministry of University and Research concerning the system of higher education and artistic and musical specialization.

Sicilian, he had been ill for some time but his activism in the national field has not been affected . He directed the magazine “Parol – Quaderni d'Arte e di Epistemologia” and was a collaborator for magazines and newspapers. He has published, among others: “Alexandre Alexeieff. The cinema of engraving” (1993); “Snow effect. Theory and practice of artistic communication in Michael Snow”, 1995 (Filmcritica National Award – Umberto Barbaro 1996); “Punctum fluens. Aesthetic communication between cinema and avant-garde art” (2017); “Bureaucracy and Art” (2020).

Arrived six years ago to direct the Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari, Antonio Bisaccia was unanimously confirmed also for the three-year period 2020-2023.

«An entire life dedicated – the Academy remembers – to our Institution without sparing any energy for the qualification of the didactic offer and the promotion of the artistic research activity. Until the last day he worked tirelessly for the institution and supervised all current and future activities without missing his guidance and his presence".

Tomorrow, Friday 24 March, the funeral home will be set up. Saturday at 9:30, at the close of the funeral home, a public greeting in the main hall of the Academy. To follow, at 11, the funeral in the Parish Church of Christ the Redeemer of Sassari .
