Moments of fear in Tortolì, where a 37-year-old man of Romanian origin was arrested by the police afterwards for damage and assault.

The alarm was raised by residents and shopkeepers of Via Monsignor Virgilio, where the man, completely drunk, began to damage some parked cars, and then lashed out at the people present, forcing them to take refuge within the commercial activities.

The soldiers of Bari Sardo and Urzulei then intervened on the spot, trying to block the man. The man, however, always prey to the fumes of alcohol, tried to throw himself with kicks and punches even against the men of the weapon.

The carabinieri, however, managed to immobilize him, also with the collaboration of the 118 staff, and to transfer him to the hospital, where the 37-year-old was sedated and treated.

In the end, on the orders of the prosecutor Biagio Mazzeo, he was taken to prison in Lanusei.
