For the maiden call, the usual commemorative crest exchange between the president of the Port System Authority, Massimo Deiana , and the ship's commander, Antonio Tommaso Tateo , with a short welcome ceremony on board.

Passengers were received on the quay by a welcoming committee with stands dedicated to tourist information and the distribution of maps, as well as tasting of typical local products. But also folk groups with traditional island costumes, dances and music. These activities are the result of an intense and profitable activity that has seen the AdSP, the Municipality, the Oristano Foundation, the Pro loco and Coldiretti involved in the last two months.

For organized excursions , stop in the Sinis , at Nuraghe Losa and in the archaeological area of Santa Cristina di Paulilatino. For "independent" cruise passengers, however, a shuttle bus service has been provided, with terminus at the Hospitalis Sancti Antoni in Oristano for guided walking tours to discover the main cultural sites of the city and shopping in a historic center where all commercial activities have remained open to ensure an adequate welcome to the ship's guests.

Today's landing should be considered a test that we will repeat, with the same enthusiasm, in September. Given the first positive results both from the point of view of the receptivity of the port and the technical nautical services present and for the impeccable reception of the territory, which has shown enormous sensitivity towards this bet, we will present ourselves to the Costa Cruises company with a good curriculum to finally nominate Oristano-Santa Giusta as a reference cruise port for the Western Mediterranean».
