Alfredo Cospito must remain at 41 bis because he can continue to exercise "his apical role" in FAI even from prison .

This can be read in the motivations of the Surveillance Court which rejected the complaint of the defense of the anarchist exponent detained in Sassari on hunger strike for two months in protest against the harsh prison regime that was inflicted on him for four years.

According to the judges, ordinary detention, even "under high security regimes, does not adequately counteract the high risk of behavior oriented towards Alfredo Cospito's exercise of his apical role within the association he belongs to".

According to the Rome judges, the "assessment of the prisoner's criminal profile" and "of his top-level role" within the FAI and of the "persistent operation of the same, demonstrate that there is a concrete danger , a qualified ability of Cospito to fully recover the associative bonds even from inside the prison, and to convey criminal provisions externally and with authority». Therefore "the high security regime" is not sufficient to avert a resumption of Cospito's activity and to "neutralize the strengthening and perpetuation of the associative bond and any situation that may also involve the same perception of still active relationships with acolytes in freedom , also conveyed, in the ordinary regime, by other restricted subjects".

In the document, the judges of the Capital also affirm that Cospito's communications "with anarchist realities outside the prison circuit appear assiduous and produce the effect of helping to identify strategic objectives and to stimulate direct actions of attack on institutions".

The court maintains that the anarchist with "numerous clandestine writings and pamphlets has contributed and contributes to developing a model of struggle in which organizational proposals are formulated , arguments and themes on which to direct the struggle, defined as strategic objectives constituting an 'invitation to action' which nuclei, cells or individualities then collect, translating the objective into actual attacks of varying size and difficulty... on the basis of the concrete possibilities of action that each one possesses».

Furthermore, yesterday the judges of the Court of Assizes of appeal in Turin, before whom the trial against Cospito accused of political massacre is being held, accepted a request from the man's lawyers, raising a question of constitutional legitimacy. The documents will now be sent to the Consulta.

Meanwhile, the alarm is back for the protests of anarchists throughout Italy . And the alert on the most sensitive places is raised. Yesterday after the decision of the Surveillance Court on the social media pages of the anarchist area, the message was clear: «The consequences, whatever these may be, are to be attributed to the State apparatuses».
