Fifteen kilos of meat and cheese were seized at the Olbia airport.

The operation, which falls within the scope of anti-fraud activities, took place in the international arrivals hall of the Gallura airport.

It was the officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) of Sassari, in collaboration with the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza of the Olbia Group, who stopped and subjected to control an Albanian passenger coming from Tirana, via Rome Fiumicino.

In the baggage checked in the hold, he carried 15 kilos of food products including cow's cheese and beef without labeling attesting to their origin, species, and relative phytosanitary certification .

The foods were subjected to precautionary administrative seizure , pending the hygienic-sanitary analyzes of the phytopathologist of the Agriculture and Agro-pastoral Reform Department of the Sardinia Region. The aim is to prevent harmful organisms containing pest pathogens from being introduced into the territory of the European Union.
