Faith and devotion in Nuoro for the 125th Feast of the Redeemer. This morning, the traditional pilgrimage to Mount Ortobene began from the churchyard of the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Neve. The faithful walked the seven kilometers to the statue of the Redeemer, stopping at the Church of Solitudine, which houses the remains of Nobel Prize-winning writer Grazia Deledda.

Between prayers and moments of sharing, the Nuoro choirs accompanied the pilgrims along the way. Among the participants, at the forefront was the regional president, Alessandra Todde, a native of Nuoro, who chose to attend wearing the city's traditional dress.

Then, in the church of Nostra Signora del Monte, the solemn Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Antonio Mura, followed by the procession along the park's ring road, renewing the community's centuries-old rite of devotion, uninterrupted since 1901.
