A 30-year-old waiter is the pirate motorist who overwhelmed and killed a 41-year-old woman , Manuela Mura, while jogging in Carloforte.
The man, initially wanted, presented himself with his lawyer by the carabinieri, who reported him in a state of freedom for road murder and failure to rescue.
He told the military of the Arma that he did not realize he had hit a person: "He thought he had hit a wall".
According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the woman was jogging on the side of the road when the Fiat Punto driven by the 30-year-old overwhelmed her, throwing her several meters away. The driver then left the area without providing any assistance.
The alarm was raised by a passer-by, who noticed the woman's body lying on the asphalt. Rescuers then intervened on the spot, but unfortunately there was nothing to do for the 41-year-old.
After the investment, the man would return home and go to sleep. Then his family saw the damaged car and hearing what had happened in the village, convinced him to report to the barracks.
The investigations of the men of the weapon continue, even on the Punto, which ended up under seizure.
