No illness, the six-year-old Roman child who died Saturday evening around 6 pm in the swimming pool of the Cala Luas resort, in Cardedu, died by drowning , where he was on vacation with his parents and little sister.

This was revealed by the autopsy ordered by the Pm di Lanusei Giovanna Morra - who opened a file for manslaughter against unknown persons - and carried out by the coroner Roberto Demontis.

The examination excludes an illness of the child as the cause of drowning: no signs of malformations in vital organs were found , but for confirmation the coroner asked 90 days to complete the histological analysis.

More likely that the little one, while swimming with a mask and snorkel, began to ingest water and was unable to react. It only took a few minutes for the water to pass to the lungs , decreeing its death .

The resuscitation intervention, first attempted for a long time by the lifeguard of the structure and then by the 118 medical staff, was unfortunately useless.

The investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of the Jerzu Company, who have already collected various testimonies, will continue in the coming days to ascertain any responsibility.

After the autopsy, the prosecutor ordered the return of the baby's body to the parents, who will now return to Rome for the funeral.
