This is what the Unitary Trade Union Representation of Carbosulcis asks the Sardinian Region regarding the future of the company and the continuation of the working activity of the workers of Carbosulcis, "unlike other realities, which demand solutions to their disputes through the involvement of the Government national"

The trade unions affirm that “on the subject of the shortage of personnel we are still awaiting the approval of the Resolution that will stop this chronic shortage, despite the fact that it has been discussed for almost 12 months. To this - continues the RSU - is also added the unclear future on the FeDE project as, at a time when in Europe there is a strong shortage of fertilizer products, in addition to the ever-increasing costs, it is necessary to resume discussions with the European Commission to understand if there is the regulatory feasibility for the resumption of coal extraction for non-energy production purposes ".

The two themes such as "the development for research purposes of the mining infrastructure and the production of fertilizers from coal, given the current geopolitical situation in Europe, identify the national strategic nature of a site, such as the mining one, as well as the theme of the strategic reserve with the safe maintenance of the infrastructure ".

The unions affirm that "beyond the technical discussion table between the parties, it is necessary to immediately resume the political confrontation with the reference Department in order to understand the timing of approval of the Council resolutions, currently blocked, and to know the current state of dialogue with the European Commission on the subject of reconversion, as well as the state of the art on the projects that are part of the territorial plan on the Just Transition Fund ".
