A 28-year-old employee was arrested this morning in Cagliari by the Carabinieri for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
The raid on the young man's home followed several weeks of investigation: the search yielded two kilograms of marijuana, divided into three heat-sealed packages, as well as two precision scales, used for packaging the doses, and a block of marijuana-infused butter weighing 285 grams.

This last discovery attracted particular attention: the product had been obtained through an artisanal process in which the butter was melted and mixed with cannabis oil, also found during the search, until a uniform mixture was obtained, which then solidified.
According to the reconstruction, the butter was used to make cannabis-based desserts, a dangerous and widespread practice, especially among certain youth groups, but which, until now, had never been confirmed by the investigations conducted by the Cagliari Provincial Command.

The 28-year-old was then escorted to the police station and, once the formal procedures were completed, placed under house arrest pending the validation hearing already scheduled by the Judicial Authority.
