A very close situation, if you consider that the council is coming to an end (it will be a matter of days). A choice that reignites the clash between the majority and the opposition. The municipal administration of Cagliari publishes the resolution of the new municipal urban plan, the document that designs the Cagliari of the future and that the city has been waiting for for twenty years. For the centre-right majority this is a "historic turning point", for the opposition it is a "move of desperation, when there are only a few days left until the end of the council".

Among the priorities indicated in the new urban planning document, among other things, there is the recovery of the Tuvumannu tunnel (with different possible scenarios, one is to create a parking area, another is to build a road for the neighborhood) , the valorisation of the entire sea front, from Giorgino to Sant'Elia (with the waterfront of via Roma, with the Su Siccu guide plan), the urban regeneration of the suburbs (Is Mirrionis, San Michele, Sant'Avendrace and Sant' Elia), i.e. not only urban but also social redevelopment with the creation of new services. And again: the creation of the archaeological park of Santa Gilla with the redevelopment and valorization of Santa Igia and with the navigability of the Riva est canal, the redevelopment interventions in Barracca Manna, the creation of the science museum in Sant'Elia (in the context of the stadium project).

The Truzzu administration has declared several times that this is a fundamental step. So much so that two years ago the city council approved the preliminary puc. «The document needs broad participation», complain the opposition councilors, «reaching the council deadline with this plan, without a discussion with the city first, is a mistake». The debate has just begun.
