Cagliari, stopped fake firefighter: recovered 25 kilos of marijuana and a dog repellent

An old firefighter's card, no longer valid, triggered suspicions: thus the agents of the flying squad who had stopped a man for a check in Cagliari , decided to investigate further, recovering 25 kilos of marijuana and a sniper pistol.

The police operation is still ongoing. Two patrols brought the arrested person on board in via Sonnino in the early afternoon of today.

When the suspect was identified during a check he showed a firefighter's card, perhaps to divert the checks. But the document, no longer valid, led the agents to investigate the matter further.

Subsequent searches led to the discovery of 25 kilos of marijuana and also a handgun.
