The Police Commissioner of Cagliari has ordered the closure of the Donegal pub in via Caprera for 45 days . The measure was notified to the owner today by the Administrative and Social Police Division.

The temporary closure of the premises was adopted «for security reasons , pursuant to art. 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security, following the murder that occurred inside on June 2nd ».

It was the night of June 2nd when, around 3 in the morning, Fabio Piga, a 37-year-old former carabiniere, was killed inside the pub with a stab wound to the heart that left him with no escape. A crime for which 19-year-old Yari Fa was arrested , accused of voluntary homicide .

The closure measure was ordered following the simultaneous release of the pub from seizure ordered by the Judicial Authority, which had instead proceeded to close the place immediately following the crime to allow for investigations.
