Severe weather in Sardinia: heavy rains in the eastern part and strong winds, but sunny skies are expected this weekend . A low pressure system positioned to the west of Sardinia is pushing humid air currents toward the island, creating a period of instability that will particularly affect the eastern areas, while keeping temperatures decidedly mild.
Today in November is the most critical day, with the heaviest showers concentrated on the eastern part of the island and significant accumulations of between 100 and 150 mm over the course of twenty-four hours . The easterly wind will also be felt with gusts of up to 50 km/h, while the seas around the island will remain very rough but with waves below two metres .
Despite overcast skies and thunderstorms, temperatures remain pleasant, with lows between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius and highs reaching 18-23 degrees Celsius. Between Friday and Saturday, the low pressure system will gradually move away towards the peninsula, and by Sunday, the weather will return to normal across the island, with a climate fully in line with the season .
