In a short time, public secondary schools in the city of Cagliari will have the opportunity to take part in a training project dedicated to first aid, aimed at students and teachers. This is thanks to the memorandum of understanding signed this morning, in the Sala Retablo of the Civic Palace, by the Department of Public Education, Youth Policies and Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Cagliari and the voluntary association ALBA Cagliari. This collaboration, completely free of charge, will allow you to benefit from first aid courses designed for the age group between eleven and thirteen, which can also be useful to teachers. "Being able to save even just one life with these courses will be a huge success," said the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu during the presentation.

Benefit for everyone. «We wish to raise awareness and invest in the training of our students by giving them the knowledge of first aid practices», the satisfaction of councilor Marina Adamo. «This initiative, generously offered to the city's school community, with a view to continuity, implements the project launched last year by the municipal administration with the positioning of several defibrillators in the city». Following the signing of the contract, the department will send communications to the school directors in order to schedule the activities, divided between theory and practice, so as to carry them out by the end of the current school year. «We hope that this initiative will act as a pilot project, with a view to collaboration with anyone who wants to collaborate with us, managing to increase participation in schools».
