Another spontaneous demonstration—without prior warning from the Cagliari Police Headquarters—took place this afternoon in Piazza Garibaldi in Cagliari in support of Palestine. Approximately 1,500 people gathered to say "no to genocide."

The mobilization, therefore, continues even after the general strike and yesterday morning's march from Piazza Garibaldi to Piazza del Carmine. Yesterday's turnout was massive, with at least fifteen thousand people on the streets of Cagliari (30,000 according to organizers' estimates). Demonstrations are also continuing to protest the halt to the Flotilla.

After the rally in the square, the march headed down Via Garibaldi amid chants and hundreds of Palestinian flags. There were no tense moments, although protesters lit several smoke bombs.

Many young people were in the front row, with the participants mingling with the Cagliari residents strolling through the shopping streets.
