Cagliari: Car and garbage truck collide on Viale Monastir, one injured.

An accident occurred overnight on Viale Monastir, Cagliari. A Kia Sportage and a garbage truck collided.

The exact circumstances are still unclear, but according to reports, the driver apparently crossed into the opposite lane, perhaps during a turning maneuver.

The driver of the van suffered the worst consequences: his injuries required him to be transported to the hospital with a yellow code assigned, aboard a 118 ambulance.

The driver of the other vehicle, however, was not on the scene when rescuers arrived.
