Cagliari, Bloody Saturday at the Marina: A minor stabbed on Via Napoli

A serious bloody incident occurred this evening in the Marina district of Cagliari: a young man was stabbed between Via Napoli and Via Sicilia.

According to initial information, the victim is a minor. He is believed to be from Cagliari.

His condition is serious: he was shot in the chest and arm. After receiving initial treatment on the scene, he was transferred to Brotzu Hospital in a specially equipped ambulance. Admitted to thoracic surgery, his prognosis is guarded.

Carabinieri from the Cagliari provincial command rushed to the scene and immediately began working to reconstruct the incident and identify the perpetrator.

The first witnesses have already been heard.

According to initial reports, the injured man was with another person when he was approached by the attacker. It appears the two knew each other. An argument ensued, during which the blade was drawn: there were reportedly at least three stab wounds, inflicted violently.

The stabber immediately fled into the neighborhood's alleys, but many witnessed the scene: the wounded man's friends reportedly provided the military with useful information to identify the perpetrator.

The neighborhood committee

The neighborhood committee, through Sandra Orrù, complains: "Too many have turned a blind eye; this is a free zone for criminals and nothing gets done."
