Cagliari, at the Poetto the return to freedom of a caretta caretta turtle

It had been recovered in the waters of Porto Ottiolu, last May 6, while floundering in serious condition. Today the caretta caretta, treated in the Duemari veterinary clinic in Oristano, is back at sea.

The turtle was put back into the water at Poetto, in front of the Army establishment. To help her were the mayor of Cagliari, Paolo Truzzu, and the regional councilor for the environment Marco Porcu.

«We chose the Army establishment», explains the exponent of the Solinas council, «because in the past the military helped to preserve a nest here, on the beach of Cagliari».
