Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi, archbishop of Cagliari and general secretary of the CEI, the Italian Episcopal Conference, will meet Beniamino Zuncheddu tomorrow in Burcei. The appointment is at 11.45 in the premises of the town parish.

Zuncheddu, a 58-year-old former farmer who served 32 years in prison as he was believed to be the perpetrator of the so-called Sinnai massacre, which occurred in 1991 and in which three people were killed, is facing the review process before the Court of Appeal of Rome, and on Tuesday there will be the prosecutor's indictment, the speeches of the civil parties and the defense. Sentenced to life imprisonment, the sentence was suspended at the request of the defense lawyer, Mauro Trogu, and with a decision of the Capitoline appeal judges.

At the meeting there will be Don Giuseppe Pisano, parish priest of Burcei, and the mayor Simone Monni.
