Must pass the new 195, via the WWII bunker.

This morning, in the Capoterra area, operations were carried out to move a military fort which was located within the route under construction of the new "Sulcitana".

The structure, dating back to the 1940s and weighing 160 tons, was part of a defense system together with three other neighboring structures. Due to its historical value, Anas reports, it was therefore necessary to completely safeguard the structure, relocating it outside the area where the new road will be built.

Two cranes were required to move it, weighing 250 and 450 tons respectively.

«The intervention was necessary for the completion of lot 1», explains the Anas manager for Sardinia, Franceco Ruocco, «which according to forecasts will be open to traffic by the end of the year».
