Brutal attack this morning, around 7.30, in via Edison in Alghero, behind the train station, in the Pietraia district.

The victim was a 30-year-old man who was attacked by three uncovered individuals who got out of a car and hit him on the head. They also had a baseball bat .

The screams of the neighborhood residents scared away the attackers who ran away on foot, abandoning the car and leaving the bat and also a hammer on the asphalt.

A 118 ambulance was on site and transported the injured person to the nearby Civil hospital, in code yellow. The Carabinieri of the Alghero Company are investigating. Everything points to a punitive expedition.

The man, a man from Alghero, was not in serious condition. He should get by with a few days of treatment for abrasions and bruises. The police, who are already on the trail of the attackers, believe it was a fight with bare hands, as the three (including a woman) did not have time to use the baseball bat found on the ground.
