Bruncuspina, ok to the chairlift test and money for the refuge: there is the flat-snow issue

The first piece of news, awaited for years, given that the ski lift in the Bruncuspina area has been completed for some time, is the testing of the "new" chairlift. The signing of the assignment of the operation to the company is a matter of days. "We're keeping our fingers crossed," says the mayor of Fonni Daniela Falconi, "but all the obstacles have finally been overcome."

The second piece of news concerns the refuge. The project to build a new one was set aside due to various problems, but here comes, from the territorial planning, 700 thousand euros to renovate the old one. «A project uncoupled from the snow plan», specifies the councilor for Public Works of the municipality of Fonni Mario Piras, «which we hope to start building as soon as possible». In the meantime , a first series of works on the road system has been completed, making a part of the road that leads to the facilities safe. This is thanks to a regional funding of one million euros. To get the famous snow plan off the ground, however, the problem of managing the ski lift will now need to be solved .

Due to various difficulties it will not be easy at all and the Municipality of Fonni alone does not appear capable of doing it. This is also why Daniela Falconi has launched an appeal to the region: «We need strong support. We must be convinced that the only ski resort on the island does not only concern our municipality but the whole of Sardinia. This is why we ask for and expect support».
