Judge Federica Fulgheri sentenced Simone Marchi from Nuoro (assisted by Giovanni Porcu and Michele Mannironi) and Michele Chillocci (defended by Rinaldo Lai and Margherita Baragliu) to a sentence of 4 years and 4 months and a 12 thousand euro fine. months of imprisonment and a 12 thousand euro fine. Giovanni Antonio Addis, 23, from Bosa (defended by lawyers Pierandrea Setzu and Salvatore Musuma) received a sentence of 3 years and 10 months and a fine of 10 thousand euros. The three will be banned from holding public office for five years.

However, Roberto Addis, 57 years old from Bosa, was acquitted because the fact did not constitute a crime. Also acquitted on another charge was Simone Marchi, Giovanni Antonio Addis and finally full acquittal for Antonio Pietro Piras (defended by the lawyer Vittorio Delogu) on another charge of not having committed the crime. Prosecutor Armando Mammone had asked for much more severe sentences of four to nine years for the six defendants.
