Body found in Monastir: first examination of the body

An initial investigation will be carried out this morning on the body of the man found yesterday in the Monastir countryside, in the Cannas Beccia area. He died several days ago , and his body was already in a state of decomposition. A resident spotted him in the Rio Flumineddu.

The task of the coroner, Roberto Demontis, will be to determine the cause of death, through the subsequent post-mortem examination ordered by the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office. Initial investigations, carried out yesterday by the Carabinieri, have not ruled out the possibility that the deceased was a fifty-five-year-old man from Monastir , whose disappearance had recently been reported by a family member.

The investigation into the man's death is being carried out by the Carabinieri of the Dolianova company , who are investigating under the direction of Captain Luca Delle Vedove.
