Like a blade, the wind turbine blade sliced off its wing, causing it to plummet lifelessly. This, according to Franca Piga, a 41-year-old influencer who shares her life in a camper with her dog Pilli Polly while working remotely, happened to a griffon vulture in the Mogorella countryside.

"We're at the wind farm on Mount Grighine, in the area between Mogorella, Villa Urbana, and Ruinas," Piga says. "We just witnessed something horrendous: this griffon vulture," he says, showing the mangled animal on the ground, "was mowed down by this blade before our eyes. It's incredible, it nicked its wing." Piga says he's reported the situation to the Forestry Department.

"Every year," Piga recalls, "hundreds of thousands of euros are allocated in Sardinia to repopulate this protected species : this cannot be considered green, sustainable energy. This is pure devastation of the territory."

The story has received widespread publicity. The Gallura Coordination Group has also spoken out against wind and photovoltaic speculation: "That griffin," they wrote in a statement, "is (or rather, was) one of the thousands of wonderful creatures continually decimated by wind turbines. These turbines serve solely to fatten up the people who come here to gorge themselves on our National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) funds. And to satiate all the politicians and administrators (municipal, regional, and state) who agree to give their approval in exchange for a few hearty meals."

Then the appeal: "Show this video to your mayors. Show it to all the wretches still trying to defraud people to enrich themselves at our expense. What will happen when they install the ten 200-meter turbines in Ittiri, right inside the griffon vulture sanctuary?"
