The hearing of the trial of reviewing the life sentence of the pastor Beniamino Zuncheddu of Burcei experienced the first real turning point with the testimony of two people who, in some way, experienced those moments. The then Carabinieri Marshal Angelo Calabrese and Sergio Spina , the one who accompanied Gesuino Fadda's wife and two daughters to the mountains on the morning of the murders.

Calabrese recalled hearing survivor Luigi Pinna in the ambulance on the way to hospital and that the man told him he had not been able to recognize the perpetrator of the massacre because "he had pantyhose on his face". The investigations were directed "immediately towards the agro-pastoral environment" but "no one mentioned Zuncheddu's name".

Spina recalled the terrible vision of the dead and confirmed in turn that Pinna had not been able to recognize the person responsible .

New hearing on 31 October : four witnesses will be heard .
