The doors of Uta prison have opened for a 24-year-old from Villasimius, accused of mistreatment of his family.
The order was executed by the Carabinieri of the local station, at the request of the Surveillance Office of Cagliari, after the young man - who was under house arrest - repeatedly violated the obligations imposed by the court.
The 24-year-old must serve a sentence of 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment for violent conduct committed, between January 2022 and March 2024, within the family. Among other things: threats and beatings to the woman's mother and partner. He was thus granted house arrest as an alternative to prison, but the young man's behavior did not change and the abuse continued .
For this reason the surveillance court ordered his new arrest and transfer to the Cagliari penitentiary.
