In Sassari , a 75-year-old man was arrested and then removed from his family home following repeated mistreatment of his wife and children.
To put an end to his harassment, the policemen of the Flying Squad of the Sassari Police Headquarters intervened, called by the elderly man's wife, in the midst of a quarrel in which the man had become aggressive.
Upon arrival of the agents, the woman said that, for futile reasons, the man would have started to insult her and, subsequently, a physical struggle with one of her children would have arisen.
The woman also revealed that she is tired of the constant episodes of threats and violence . Of insults, vulgar offenses and intimidating gestures perpetrated by her husband, who would also have forced the family into a sort of economic dependence .
The agents have gathered his outburst, ascertaining that the nightmare for that family has been going on since 1987 .
For this, the policemen arrested the man for the crime of ill-treatment against family members and cohabitants and, following validation, the Judicial Authority ordered the application of the precautionary measure of removal from the family home and that of the prohibition of approaching women and their children.
