For the third time in three weeks, after Ilbono and Loceri, Ogliastra takes to the streets to remember Marco Mameli, the boy killed on March 1st in Bari Sardo .

Right here, at 7.30 pm today, a large procession invaded the streets of the town to ask for justice for the 22 year old boy from Ilbono, whose killer is still at large .

The torchlight procession was framed by a deafening silence, in a climate of deep emotion. Hundreds of people wanted to attend , including several young people registered with local sports associations, members of recreational and cultural associations and mayors.

At the head of the procession was an army of children with signs calling for justice . Opening the torchlight procession, organized by a spontaneous committee of the town, was the parish priest of Bari Sardo, Don Pietro Sabatini , who called for silence during the procession. " The only voice that should be heard is that of those who saw something. Those who know should go to court and say so, find the courage ."

Before the procession, in Piazza di Chiesa, a group of little girls read little thoughts dedicated to Marco. Readings accompanied by thunderous applause. The passage in via Santa Cecilia, at the point where the boy was stabbed, was heartbreaking . Here a mural was created depicting a horse (Marco's passion since he was a child) and a pair of boots. The torchlight procession ended with the projection of images of Marco on the wall of the church dedicated to Nostra Signora di Monserrato .
