Controls by the local police of Sassari in the pine forest of Porto Ferro: a dozen illegal campers sanctioned. For them the immediate eviction and a fine of 500 euros.

In the area, of particular environmental value and value, tourists mainly from the Peninsula had placed tents with barbecues and makeshift braziers, with a very high risk of fires .

The local police first worked with remotely piloted aircraft guided by specialized personnel, then the officers arrived on the spot and cleared the area.

"Illegal camping - informs the local police - is forbidden and the use of stoves, barbecues and the lighting of fires in areas not specifically identified for this causes a serious risk to the safety of those who violate the rules, of those who are in the area and for the entire ecosystem. A fire in a pine forest, as in a forest, would devastate all the flora and fauna ".

The agents also sanctioned twenty motorists who had parked in the pine forest . For them the fine is 200 euros.
