There is still a maximum alert across the island due to the wind storm , with gusts of up to 130 km/h, which is hitting not only the coasts from north to south.

During the night in La Caletta di Siniscola there was a near tragedy : a roof was uprooted by the strong wind and, after a flight of a few metres, it fell into the street . It happened in via Sauro: no one was injured but a lot of damage was done to parked cars . Houses uncovered, again in Siniscola, also in via Piemonte.

The firefighters worked overtime from Porto Torres to Cagliari, passing through Nuorese, Oristanese and Sulcis . Dozens of interventions were carried out, especially for trees broken by the force of the wind.

Yesterday there was no shortage of road accidents and enormous inconveniences in maritime connections , both those with the country and with the smaller islands, which recorded strong delays and even cancellations: gusts of wind with force eight seas and waves up to seven high meters advised against navigation.

In Cagliari the Municipality has launched an emergency plan to avoid any danger to citizens , ordering the closure of parks and cemeteries and underlining that the alert situation will remain such until the end of the emergency. Traffic was at a standstill in Poetto due to the fall of a street lamp onto the road , while in the garden of an elementary school a large tree collapsed to the ground. In Quartucciu the problems were mainly caused by the Christmas lights. The tree in the "Sergio Atzeni" park, in via Pertini, fell under the strong gusts which also swept away decorations and decorations. In Sant'Antioco traffic disruptions due to the fall of a tree on the bridge at the entrance to the town .
