Tomorrow, the ordinance in effect since June 12th expires, with traffic changes on Viale Bonaria due to the light rail construction . But this doesn't mean there will be any inconvenience for those who have long been waiting for one of Cagliari's main stretches to be cleared of construction work: quite the opposite. The new ordinance is already ready, valid from Monday until September 14th, with new (and different) traffic changes.

Specifically, the continuation of the work involves closing the intersection of Viale Bonaria and Viale Cimitero to traffic. The reserved lane between Via Barone Rossi and the construction site boundary (Viale Bonaria-Viale Cimitero) has been removed, with two-way traffic and a 30 km/h speed limit in place. At the intersection of Via Barone Rossi, right-hand traffic is mandatory, resulting in a one-way traffic restriction.

On Via Nuoro, at the intersection with Viale Bonaria , the mandatory left turn has been revoked and the stop sign has been maintained. In Piazza Donatori di sangue, at the exit onto Viale Bonaria, a stop sign has been added (a signal to stop and yield), with mandatory left turn being reinstated.

In any case, pedestrian paths and the safe transit of pedestrians will always be guaranteed , with the placement of adequate signage indicating alternative routes.
