The man wounded with a billhook in via Battisti in Donori will be healed in ten days.

Gabriele Basciu, 52, ended up in hospital where healthcare workers found stab wounds to his head , fortunately superficial. The worker Michele Carboni, who has no criminal record, ended up under accusation . In the next few hours he will be questioned by the magistrate to whom in the morning Captain Luca Delle Vedove, commander of the Dolianova Carabinieri Company, gave a detailed report on the matter. For the moment the charge of attempted murder remains.

The episode would be linked to misunderstandings in the neighborhood which over time led to disagreements and last night to the bloody incident. According to initial investigations, Michele Carboni armed himself with the billhook and stopped in the street: an episode which is still being reconstructed also through the collection of testimonies. Gabriele Basciu was hit in the head and back.

The attacker fled immediately afterwards. The Carabinieri from the station and the mobile radio operations unit of Dolianova arrived immediately: the man was found at home still in possession of the weapon used. With the billhook, the investigators seized four hunting rifles and a 7.65 caliber pistol with related ammunition, all regularly detained. The injured man was transported by 118 to the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari, where he was admitted for checks and treatment. The prognosis as mentioned is ten days.

At the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the arrested person was taken by the Carabinieri to the Uta prison where in the next few days he will be questioned by the investigating judge in the presence of the Public Prosecutor. On this occasion, the suspect will be able to tell his version and therefore his truth about what happened. The injured man will also be interviewed by the police soon.
