Attack on Poetto, the two young men accused of attempted murder remain in prison

Francesco Carta and Nicola Loddo, 31 and 22 years old from Quartu, remain in prison, accused of attempted aggravated murder for the beating of Lorenzo Porru, the 22-year-old fellow villager attacked on the night between Saturday and Sunday outside the "Il Lido" bathing establishment.
Yesterday the young man came out of the coma shortly after hospitalization in Brotzu and was transferred to neurosurgery, while this morning the arrest of his alleged attackers was validated by the investigating judge Ermengarda Ferrarese who ordered pre-trial detention in Uta prison.
Defended by lawyers Sandro Sassu and Miriam Manca, the two suspects decided not to answer the investigating magistrate's questions, but made brief spontaneous statements. After a brief council session, the Ferrarese judge considered that there are serious indications against both of them and ordered that they remain in prison in Uta.
