Dog trapped six meters underwater, last-minute rescue during the night

A complex operation by Nuoro firefighters concluded at four in the morning, when they rescued a dog trapped in a rock cavity six meters below ground in Gavoi .

The operation, which began at 10:00 a.m., was particularly difficult. To free the animal, the GOS unit, a special operations group that arrived from Cagliari with a mechanical vehicle, was called in.

The animal appeared to be in good health and was entrusted to the care of its owner.
