The ITS Foundation enters the future. In addition to its main headquarters on Via Milano, it now has a new headquarters (in the former brewery area), equipped with laboratories for refining practices in the fields of state-of-the-art plant engineering, renewables, and hybrid, electric, and internal combustion engines. These laboratories will be available not only to Foundation students but also to high school students, in accordance with the 4+2 reform of vocational schools. The green light has therefore been given to the new academic year of the ITS Academy Energia Sardegna, headquartered in Macomer, with the Foundation having had a presence in the capital of the Marghine region since 2010. For the new two-year period, four types of courses have been granted by the Region, by resolution of the Regional Council, in an effort to meet the needs of all the island's regions (two in Sassari, one in Elmas, and then Macomer), with each course involving as many as 20 students. These ministerial courses, which award, upon passing the state exam, the fifth EQF qualification, valid throughout the European Union, are mandatory. At least 60% of the instructors and teachers must come directly from the world of work. "The results achieved in recent years," says President Sergio Masia, "are the fruit of enormous teamwork within the organization, which has supported the Board of Directors' decisions, involving companies in the sector, as well as universities, schools and training institutes, local authorities, and professionals. The Technical Scientific Committee has developed projects that will meet the growing need for specialized technicians in the workforce, tailoring the professional profiles that companies in the sector are increasingly seeking to keep up with the times." The courses are completely free, including in-company training internships, while 80% attendance is mandatory. Personalized plans are therefore available for workers. To be eligible for the selection process, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Registration will remain open until November 25th. Meanwhile, a few months ago, the Macomer foundation was assigned by the Region an additional operational area, the so-called "Home and Built Environment System," to enhance real estate assets and the urban environment through the training of technicians specialized in modern construction.
