After the fire: devastation and clean-up at Monte Sirai

The archaeological park of Monte Sirai in Carbonia, hit by yesterday's devastating fire, will remain closed for the whole day, with about ten people evacuated thanks to the firefighters.

Meanwhile, the clean-up operations are still underway by volunteers from the Civil Protection and the Forestry Corps with the help of the helicopter that arrived from Pula after several departures during the night.

The outbreaks were promptly tamed thanks to the valuable intervention of Civil Protection volunteers.
