The Azuni high schools in Sassari and the Dettori high schools in Tempio Pausania took the top three spots in the second edition of the "Dies Dantis" literary competition. Lorenzo Satta, a student in class 4A at Azuni High School in Sassari, won the first prize of €1,000. Elias Addis, a student in class 4A at Dettori High School in Tempio Pausania, won the second prize of €500, while students Maria Nieddu and Eleonora Amelia Stacca, in classes 4C and 3C, respectively, at Azuni High School in Sassari, won the third prize of €250.

The competition was promoted by the Sassari-based association "Centro di Ricerche Filosofiche, Letterarie e di Scienze Umane" (Center for Philosophical, Literary and Human Sciences Research), as part of the activities planned for the International Festival for the Promotion of Books and Reading "Un'Isola in Rete" (An Island on the Net), and by the Azuni High School of Sassari, the leader of the participating schools, with Professor Rosalia Cadoni and Professor Andrea Masala, the institute's Italian teachers, as coordinators.

The event, presented by Dr. Federico Piras, president of the Center for Philosophical, Literary and Human Sciences Research, was funded by the Sardinia Region, the Municipality of Sassari, the Fondazione di Sardegna, and the Sassari Chamber of Commerce.

The awards ceremony was held at the Ex Ma.Ter on Via Zanfarino in Sassari, on the occasion of “Dantedì,” a national day celebrating the figure and works of Dante Alighieri.
