Cecilia Mascia blew out her first hundred candles with the same spirit with which she lived every day of her life : with determination, lucidity and a visceral love for Sardinia, which she wants to defend from the invasion of wind turbines.
When someone points out the importance of the milestone she has reached, she smiles and plays it down: "One hundred years? I stopped at 95!" A joke that sums up the lively and ironic character of a woman who, despite her age, has never stopped looking to the future, especially that of her country.
Born in the heart of Cagliari, in the Villanova district, now resident in Su Planu, Cecilia is not limited to being a witness of Sardinian history : she is a protagonist of the present. And her battle, now, has a precise objective: to stop the energy speculation that risks disfiguring the landscape of the Island with wind turbines.
