A large blue crab "tracked" on Platamona beach. One of the most invasive alien species in the Mediterranean has also become a protagonist on the Sorso coast.

The artist of the sand work is always Nicola Urru, the sculptor from Nuoro specialized in the creation of ephemeral sculptures which, for some time, have taken shape at the Terzo Comb of Platamona and offer the many enthusiasts majestic bas-reliefs with the "land_art_de_rena" technique.

The image seen from the drone is evocative, releases emotions, tells current stories, enters the heart. «The blue crab: if you can't beat it, eat it», this is how the author of the gigantic sculpture comments on his latest work which he combines with a tasty pan-fried recipe, a system to stop the advance of the species and contain the phenomenon.

Originally from the Atlantic coasts of America and today massively present on the Mediterranean coasts, particularly in the Adriatic near the lagoons, the sea killer is considered a threat to the marine ecosystem because it is omnivorous, capable of devouring any species of fish you find around.
