Sardinian sisters hit by the train: "They weren't drunk, it was a tragic fatality"

The death of Giulia and Alessia Pisanu , the two 17- and 15-year-old sisters from Madonna di Castenaso in the Bolognese area, daughters of a businessman from Senorbì, was a "tragic fatality" , overwhelmed and killed by a train passing through the Riccione station last July 31st.

This was established by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rimini which requested the filing of the investigation, entrusted to the railway police, and coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Giulia Bradanini, on the railway accident. The investigation had been opened, without suspects, for manslaughter.
From checking the black box of the train , the ETR in transit at the Riccione station, nothing irregular had emerged regarding the speed maintained by the vehicle, the organization on the ground of notices to passengers and the images from the television cameras.

As for the conditions of the girls, two key witnesses - namely the boy met at the disco and another man to whom the two young women asked for a ride on the way from the night club to the station - described them to the investigators as sober. Even their father, who had spoken to them a few minutes before they entered the station, hadn't noticed any altered tone in their voice.

From what was said by the witnesses present that morning at dawn at the Riccione station , the investigators immediately ruled out the hypothesis of suicide or that someone pushed them onto the tracks.

"We are happy to learn that the investigations have ruled out the use of alcohol and drugs, just as they have ruled out suicide," comments the lawyer Roberto Senis of the Court of Cagliari to whom Giulia and Alessia's father entrusted themselves.

At the moment, therefore, the opposition to the archiving is excluded . «Since this tragedy, Giulia and Alessia's father has been trying to do good with the association he created and dedicated to his daughters - continues the lawyer - The goal is to make young people aware of risky behavior such as when goes to dances and when you go by car». «On this story - he concludes - a lot has been said inappropriately, the bad comments on social media and the allegations. The father was certain that Giulia and Alessia had not drunk or used drugs, today the investigations confirm it ».
