A real "trade" of false certificates , for the benefit of entrepreneurs, customers and workers with the need to demonstrate to the supervisory bodies that their companies were impeccable from the point of view of safety in the workplace . This is what emerged in the "Fake Courses" operation conducted by the Carabinieri in the Palermo area.

There are 20 people under investigation accused, for various reasons, of aggravated fraud, material falsehood, ideological falsehood, abusive exercise of the profession of doctor , following the outcome of the preliminary investigations arranged and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office. Pieces of a puzzle created to circumvent the rules governing the training of workers and willing to jeopardize their safety in order to make the beneficiary companies appear virtuous teams who care about safety in the workplace.

Several hundred forged documents, about 700 , were found and seized at the registered office of one of the companies involved in the house searches ordered by the prosecutor.

THE MECHANISM - The "modus operandi" simply provided for the payment to the compliant professional , administrator or president of an elusive body not registered in the appropriate register of the Sicilian region, the amount provided for by the proposed tariff and it was obtained , in a very short time, a apparently regular certificate .

In several cases, the replacement of "qualified" teachers , signatories of the certificates, with others not qualified for the relative professional training was ascertained.

A turnover of several hundred thousand euros which gives the measure of the phenomenon.

The investigations were triggered after a health check by the ASP in a public establishment in Misilmeri and then extended to the entire province.
