A 22-year-old resident of Rivarolo Mantovano, in the province of Mantua, is in intensive care at Cremona Hospital after being punched during a party in Rivarolo del Re ed Uniti.

The attack occurred shortly before 4 a.m. yesterday, during "Il Mojito del Rey," a street demonstration organized by the Pro Loco local association. According to the Gazzetta di Mantova, there was an argument with a peer over issues related to the 22-year-old's girlfriend. The young man was struck in the face and fell to the ground.

He was taken first to Casalmaggiore Hospital and then to Cremona for bruises on his head. He underwent surgery and is hospitalized in serious condition. The alleged attacker has been identified by the Carabinieri.
