Newborns buried in the garden, the Review Court orders prison for Chiara Petrolini

The Court of Appeal of Bologna has fully accepted the appeal of the Parma Prosecutor's Office, ordering the prison sentence for Chiara Petrolini, the 21-year-old under investigation and currently under house arrest, after the discovery of the remains of two newborns buried in the garden of her home in Traversetolo.
The judges ordered the detention in prison for the murder of August 7, 2024 and for the suppression of the two corpses, that is, also for the newborn born on May 12, 2023.
However, the enforcement of the measure is suspended until the final decision is made: it will be necessary to wait for the reasons and any appeal to the Supreme Court.
