Earthquake in Sicily: magnitude 5.0
The epicenter was in the sea off the Aeolian Islands

A sequence of seismic shocks centered in the southern Tyrrhenian Sea shook Sicily late Friday morning.
Felt from Palermo to Catania and all the way to the Aeolian Islands, the tremors – five – also registered a magnitude of 5.0.
The exact epicenter was northwest of the Aeolian Islands, not far from Alicudi. There have been no reports of damage to property or people so far.
