Millionaire kidnapping ordered by the Anti-Mafia Investigation Department of Giuseppe Iaquinta, father of the former footballer Vincenzo, former Juve and world champion in 2006.

The order was issued by the prevention measures section of the Court of Bologna and concerns two companies operating in the construction sector, 71 properties in the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Brescia and Crotone, two cars and numerous banking relationships, for a total of approximately 10 million euros.

Giuseppe Iaquinta, an entrepreneur believed to be close to the 'Ndrangheta operating in Emilia-Romagna, was reached by a precautionary custody order in prison in January 2015 as part of the "Aemilia" operation and then sentenced in 2018 by the Court of Reggio Emilia to 19 years of imprisonment, penalty subsequently redetermined, on appeal, to 13 years for crimes of mafia association and illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.

The former Juve and national team player was also involved in the same trial, for weapons offenses: for him the sentence, confirmed on appeal, was two years with conditional suspension.
